Starting and stopping vmware from linux shell

View The list of Virtual Machines:

vmrun -T server -h https://localhost:8333/sdk -u root -p list

Stopping a Virtual Machine:

vmrun -T server -h https://localhost:8333/sdk -u root -p stop "[standard] /host.vmx"

Starting A Virtual Machine:

vmrun -T server -h https://localhost:8333/sdk -u root -p stop "[standard]/host.vmx"

Note: [standard] is the name of your respective datastore.
